Welcome Dr. Erik P. Goldschmidt

Hurley Counseling is pleased to announce that Erik P. Goldschmidt, Ph.D. is joining our practice on November 4, 2019. Dr. Goldschmidt received his doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Boston College. He has clinical experience involving psychological testing, diagnostic assessment, and psychotherapy with adolescents, adults, and families. Most recently, he is Director of the Foley Community Service Center at Spring Hill College and a consulting psychologist for L’Arche Mobile.

Dr. Goldschmidt completed part of his training at The Walker Home and School in Massachusetts which specializes in children with severe behavioral disabilities. He completed a clinical internship at Harvard Medical School and he was a postdoctoral behavioral health fellow with Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates. Dr. Goldschmidt was a presenter at the annual meeting of the American Psychological Association in 2005, 2007, and 2009.

Dr. Goldschmidt will be seeing adolescents, adults, and families in both our Fairhope and Mobile offices. He is in the process of obtaining Blue Cross and Blue Shield approval. He currently does not accept insurance.
